Pondering Anime

I'm not a big fan of anime. If anyone who is reading this LOVES anime, don't hold my dislike of anime against me. There is something disturbing about it to me.

I did this quiz because it said "beautiful pictures" and even though I'm not fond of anime, thought that the picture with the link was very beautiful. Didn't even really look at the title, just clicked the link and took the quiz.

I'm back to being disturbed by anime. The sexuality of the picture below is a bit too blatant to be comfortable. It's possible that the pictures used in the quiz are considered for adult entertainment only. However, when I consider the amount of anime that I've been subjected to, I think I now know where that creeped out feeling is coming from.

I'm with you. I've never been into anime for similar reasons, but so many people are. I don't have a desire to cultivate the interest, either. *shrug*

It makes sense to me now that the one person I know who LOVES anime also has the world's largest porn collection. I finally get it.

I don't get anime either...but I have nothing against porn ;) Actually the anime eyes remind me of that 70's cartoon Marine Boy. I don't know if you remember that cartoon, no-one I ever speak to seems to, though I swear I didn't make it up!

I did a quick search to see if I remember the cartoon just not the name. Ah Ha! It's considered Classic Anime. But no, I still don't know the cartoon.

Speaking of porn, I was watching tv last night and an advertisement for one of the Asian channels came on. (This is San Francisco, we've got channels for every Asian language, 20 billion spanish, Indian, you name it) Their tag line was "Anime the way it was intended" and the girl rips off her shirt. Of course they cut away from the breast shot to a couple kissing. Sadly, I find myself fascinated and will probably have to tape an hour of it to disgust myself.
