Much love for Sydney. I went a few years ago. Other recommendations from me include the Sydney Zoo (you get to ride a little cable car up to the entrance for a nice view of the city), riding the ferries to get around (more great views), and eating meat pies, sushi, and Tim Tams. I also went to the Blue Mountains and spent the whole day hiking all over the place there. *sigh* wish I could go back. Their seasons are the reverse of up here so you'd probably want to go during our winter. And if you're down there, maybe swing a trip up to the Great Barrier Reef. I thought that was amazing and there's a rain forest near Cairns that I heard good reviews of too.
