What is too much?

RTL calls this morning because there are a ton of people at work with U2 tickets that they can't use.
Yes, I'd love to see U2. However, I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on tickets.
So my question is: What is too much? Especially on something that's not going to kill you if you don't get it. OK, I know some would argue with that statement, but come on, isn't there a limit to how much things should cost?

I wouldn't pay more than what the tickets had actually cost if you bought them from Ticketmaster or another reputable ticket broker. Just my rule of thumb, though.

That is the problem, everyone wants to get a little extra since they can't go and the tickets are expensive enough as it is. I miss the good old days when tickets were under $50 and ticketmaster's fees weren't outrageous.

Sadly (and this WILL make me sound old) I think tickets are really over-priced these days. I paid $136 per ticket for REM. I felt sick doing it but I paid it. They hadn't toured here for 10 years and may not again. I don't know how much U2 are, but I bet they weren't cheap, so I DO understand, especially if you weren't planning to go before.

They are overpriced. And I would probably pay the $136 for REM tickets because they don't tour often at all. But U2 has already been here twice in the past 7 months. The tickets are ranging anywhere from $110 - 250. Yet, as much as I want to see Bono, I don't need to see him that much.

Those ticket prices are ridiculous, so I am siding with you in this instance...makes a change huh? ;)
