Foxes, one for the list of ultimate 80's movies.
The plot: A group of four teenage girls in the San Fernando Valley, and the usual problems teenagers has to cope with. Deidre is fascinated by sex, Madge is unhappily overweight, Annie is into drugs and Jeanie has to take care of all of them. They think that the school is crap, their boyfriends immature and the grown-ups come from another planet.

OK, so I'm on a Jodie Foster kick and have literally put anything and everything that I haven't seen with her in it on my Netflix list. I wasn't expecting much from this movie, but surprisingly I'm glad that I saw it. The acting for the most part is bad, except for Jodie. She pulls the movie out the dump. Scott Baio is in it as well. And even better is Robert Romanus who played the prick in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Same sleazy character. Foxes is the 80's version of Thirteen.

So my favorite part of the movie is Laura Dern's very small, almost unrecognizable role where she is giving advice about birth control to another girl and says:
If you're going with a guy, you can use a diaphragm, cause you've got an idea when you're doin' it. But, uh, on your own, better stick to the pill, cause you never know what you don't know, you know?

Omg, I idolized Cherie Currie after sneaking in to see that film at age 10 with my best friend and a mutual friend, whose older sister took us!

I have never heard of the movie. *Hangs his 80's head in shame*

Have you ever seen the iconic Aussie teen movie, late 70's/early 80's called Puberty Blues? It is so bad it is good :)

I had not heard of it either. Hence, the long queue of Jode Foster movies.

No, haven't seen nor heard of Puberty Blues, but I'm going to go see if I can put it on my list right now.
