OK, I know it seems kind of silly to post this since I live here, but RTL's little sister (19) is coming for spring break and I need some ideas of what to do. We did all the touristy stuff last year when she was here, so I'm at a loss of what to do this year. RTL is under the impression that MB will have no desire to just hang out and that we have to have a list of things to do.

Things already under consideration -
The Chuck Close exhibit at MOMA
Rocky Horror
The Vampire Tour
The JellyBelly factory (cheesy, but I love going there)

That list started off as the dark side of San Fran. There was a brief consideration of going to LA, but that involves plane tickets and boarding the dog. So I need ideas. Any ideas are welcome.

The San Jose flea market is always fun.

Hi, I found your journal through yarbiedoll and my boyfriend and I will actually be tourists in SF this summer, so I can tell you what we are interested in...aside from all the "touristy" stuff actually IN SF...I hope you don't mind!

I think that some of the National Parks (Yosemite, maybe Redwoods?) aren't TOO far from SF, so if she's a naturey-ish girl, that might interest her? Also, going along with the naturey stuff, driving around the wine valleys holds high appeal for us, too! (Even if she can't taste-test, it's still gorgeous, right?)

Don't mind at all. it's alway good to add things to my SF touristy list. So will this be a first time in SF for you and your bf? I've got plenty of recommendations for first timers, but not many if for 2nd and 3rd timers.

I hadn't thought about Yosemite, although she'll be here while there might be snow still on the ground and I have no desire to put snow chains on the car. I was considering taking her back to Muir Woods and making her hike the Ocean Mile trail with me, but that goes back to that winter weather and rain washing the trail out. There is a lot more hiking you can do here during the summer when it won't rain a drop. Maybe Calistoga for the hot springs. That's an idea. Oooh! and a designated driver for the wine tours. I think the brain juices are going again.

It's his first time, my second. (But my first time was 24 hours spent in the whole city, so I'm sure I missed things!)

For sure, we want to do Alcatraz...other than that, we are totally open to suggestions! =)
