I'm waiting for the Maytag repair guy to show up and fix my icemaker, again.
The longer I wait, the more annoyed I get as this will be fix #3.

OK, now that the repairman has shown up and left by 3 p.m. I'm a little less annoyed.
No fix to the icemaker, he must order another one. However, I now have an explanation as to why I have walked into the kitchen on a couple of occasions and found water pouring out of the front of the freezer. That pesky "if I can't see evidence of the problem then I don't know what to fix". Well, this guy got it today and my icemaker will finally be completely fixed.

And my advice for the day, if you ever buy an appliance from Best Buy, buy the extra service plan. It has completely paid off on the fridge. Maytag charges $150 per visit and if you need parts, well, you'll pay for them too.

Best Buy Service Plan - $150
Three Maytag repair visits = $450
New icemaker guesstimate = $100
Knowing that the service plan covers anything and everything (even if I personally kill the fridge) - priceless

1. Getting back into sewing - Not that I completely quit, but I used to make/reconstruct a lot of clothes. Now I sew curtains and hem pants. But I've been laying on the bed eyeing a skirt R just bought and am thinking "hey! I can make that!". Thus feeling very inspired, I am committing to dusting off the sewing machine.

2. Officially replanting the vegetable garden - I realize that it is a bit too late in the season to start from seeds, but I am contemplating buying some mature plants and probably just doing a hefty container garden.

3. Actually writing the novel that I've had floating around - Just finished reading Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty and am feeling very inspired. This book was laugh out loud funny. I thought it would be a good read with the review on the back of the book that stated "Judy Blume meets Dorothy Parker." A quite accurate statement.

4. Applying to grad school - again. I guess if I can't publish my book, I'll need something to fall back on.

Got a couple of other things rattling around in the old brain, but I figure I'll start with a list of four and revise as necessary.
