Things I'm thinking about
Jun. 16th, 2006 04:18 pm1. Getting back into sewing - Not that I completely quit, but I used to make/reconstruct a lot of clothes. Now I sew curtains and hem pants. But I've been laying on the bed eyeing a skirt R just bought and am thinking "hey! I can make that!". Thus feeling very inspired, I am committing to dusting off the sewing machine.
2. Officially replanting the vegetable garden - I realize that it is a bit too late in the season to start from seeds, but I am contemplating buying some mature plants and probably just doing a hefty container garden.
3. Actually writing the novel that I've had floating around - Just finished reading Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty and am feeling very inspired. This book was laugh out loud funny. I thought it would be a good read with the review on the back of the book that stated "Judy Blume meets Dorothy Parker." A quite accurate statement.
4. Applying to grad school - again. I guess if I can't publish my book, I'll need something to fall back on.
Got a couple of other things rattling around in the old brain, but I figure I'll start with a list of four and revise as necessary.
