2008 in Review
Jan. 6th, 2009 09:43 amJanuary - Came back from Bermuda and thought that I would be inspired to try new recipes in 2008. That quest boldly failed. However there is always this year.
February - Officially starting working the Facebook networking thing. Got completely sucked in, but I like it because I've found a ton of people that I always wondered where they were. I also failed at my random acts of kindness quest by returning Barbies to an acquaintance. I'll get on that this year to get them out of my house.
March - It snowed and it snowed some more.
April - I hit one year post-back surgery. Had the smoking job interview. Not much exciting, I went quiet.
May - I started the job from hell and was definitely silent during training. No access to a computer sucks.
June - More funky scheduling from the job from hell. People, if you decide to quit smoking - do it and don't complain about it. If it's against your will to quit, then don't. Wait until you want to quit.
July - The end of my noon to nine schedule when my contract is not extended at the end of the month. Much celebration on my part. Only 2 of my training class are currently left, 1 in school who is sucking it up until she graduates and the other is job hunting as I type.
August - Was growing veggies, spending time with Bonnie and trying to clear up three months of house neglect.
September - I turned 35 and planned a wedding. Made a bunch of applesauce, apple jelly and other glorious canning adventures.
October - Started the baby making process, had the roof cleaned finally, and headed to San Francisco to get married.
November - Got married, watched Obama get elected, cussed the California voters on Prop 8, and spent lots of wonderful love time with Kim & Fergal. Note to self - wedding post needed
December - It started snowing again. We thought we would be snowed in and not make it to Florida. (Darn!) Did make it to Florida though and spent time with lots of family. Celebrating the entrance of 2009 on a plane as we traveled back home.
