Admissions
Feb. 3rd, 2009 07:17 pmI have to admit that the one Christmas present that I (and Ronette since we got the same thing) opened and thought to myself "oh you shouldn't have, really you shouldn't have" is beginning to be one of my favorites. Ronette's parents gave us Slankets - the blankets with sleeves. Of course, it was pointed out that she bought these out of Skymall and not off the infomercial. Personally, I would have preferred the Snuggee version since you could get 2 for $19.95 AND 2 book lights.

I really liked it because it was my style and everything (usually it isn't if it comes from her) but it was about six sizes too big. There is a picture of Joe and me wearing it at the same time and we could have fit a third adult in there with us. She'd ordered it from the Lane Bryant catalog or something but never took it out of the plastic bag it arrived in. I didn't know if I should be insulted or laugh. :) Yes, we laughed.

Date: 2009-02-04 04:23 pm (UTC)Are you sure we don't have the same aunt? Growing up, mine bought clothes for me for Christmas all the time. And she bought things I liked, but always 3 sizes too big. Yeah, I was bigger than my cousins, but not that much bigger.

Date: 2009-02-05 03:24 pm (UTC)I begged my aunt to NOT buy me any clothes last Christmas because I had lost weight and even I don't know what size I wear until I try something on. I have clothing that ranges in sizes from 18 - 24 that fit now. Some 18s are too big and some 24s JUST fit now. Weird.
WE must have the same aunt. :D
