My cat and I are about to have a fight. It's a nice day, I have the screen door in place on the sliding glass door. Last summer, Bella, the indoor only cat, learned that she could get her claws in the screen and open it enough to get outside. And no, it's not one of those fancy screen doors with the latch. However, I just looked up and there is my cat parading across the backyard looking for a dirt pile to flop herself into. Luckily she obeys and immediately comes back inside. For a cat who doesn't like outside, the dirt is just too much of a temptation.
