Well, maybe not too much drama, it is just hair after all.

I go to see Betty at 10. I'm going to have her cut off at least 2 inches of the mop. Could be more. I want anything that is dead and icky gone and I desperately need my layers back so I get curls on the top half of my head. She may have a slight heart attack when she sees that I've dyed it black. The color is almost gone so maybe not too much screaming. I'll try to remember to take pictures of the new 'do after I get back while it still looks like good.

TA DAH!

ze beautiful curls

OK, we had this whole discussion and decided on 2 - 3 inches and it doesn't look like it. I expected it to be shorter. However, what was left in the floor would create a really nice toupee and was at least 3 inches. Maybe my hair was longer than what I thought. It's also not black anymore, but more along the brunette that it was. And no more blonde ends, at least until next summer.

That is some awesome hair! Have you considered selling hair when you get it cut? I know here they pay quite a lot for it.

Thank you. *preens in the mirror* The last and only time I intentionally cut it off above my shoulders I donated my hair to Locks of Love. (They make wigs for children who are sick and have lost hair) But I haven't considered selling it. I've been traumatized by enough bad haircuts that I'm not sure the cash would outweigh the stress. Yes, you have permission to laugh, I laugh at myself about it.

I know what it's like when you get a bad haircut, so I can relate. In the 80's I was doing a fine job of growing my hair nice and long, until 1 particular hairdresser cut it all off without being instructed to. *GRRRR*.

I think the hair donation thing is a really great and beautiful idea :) I had never heard of it before now though.

I love/hate it when hairstylists say "don't worry, I know what I'm doing". Of course that is when you get the worst haircut that you ever thought could happen.

You have such lovely hair :o) I've got wavy to curly hair depending on the length of it, but it's nothing like yours. Moreover, if I grow it to the length you've got it just hangs :o(

I should have taken a before picture because it was looking really crappy. This is of course after having magic scissors and fingers play with my hair.
