Poor Easter Bunny
Mar. 24th, 2006 06:25 pmSo St. Pauls City Council has booted the Easter Bunny out of the office. I'm sure I could post the link to the article I just read, but you folks can go look it up yourself. Why was the Easter Bunny booted out?
He might be offensive to non-Christians.
Oh my Goddess!
The Easter Bunny isn't a Christian symbol, so why would it offend the non-Christians?
I've got plenty of opinions that revolve around the hijacking of pagan festivals and the commercialization of holidays.
That would involve a pretty big soapbox, so I'll save it so I don't offend anybody. (although why should I care because it's my journal)

Date: 2006-03-25 09:07 am (UTC)Evre since pussy was a kitten i.e for a long time now, I never recieved easter eggs as a child. At frist I assumed it was my parents being tight - but on reflection I think it was the easter bunny being a bastard and completely neglecting me in the chocolate department.
If I ever meet the easter bunny on a dark, damp, fogg night - I'll reintroduce the concept of rabbit on my evening meal menu.
