If I don't answer the door when you ring the doorbell, please don't beat on the door to get my attention. If I wanted to talk to you, I would have opened the door already. Banging on the door only annoys me. Any why? Why do you feel the need to test the door to see if it's locked? There is a big difference between leaving something on my doorknob and actually pressing that little button that releases the door latch. Good thing that I'm paranoid about making sure the door is locked when I'm home alone. I wonder what you would do if the door magically opened. Just go away!

I think it's so freaky that people try the door handle when you don't answer the doorbell. It creeps me out when I hear it. It sends me into a momentary panic, a la "somebody's breaking in and then might rape me". I find that the majority of people do this. I have NEVER done that. I mean, what the heck would I do if it was open? Go inside? I'd call the police if I found somebody standing in my foyer. Hell, I've picked up the phone, poised to dial 911, just for hearing them try the lock before. Yiiiii. *shiver*

And I just watched a "Medium" episode about a guy inside a blind woman's apartment. Now I'm scared. It's kinda fun. Thanks for giving me the creeps. :)
