If I don't answer the door when you ring the doorbell, please don't beat on the door to get my attention. If I wanted to talk to you, I would have opened the door already. Banging on the door only annoys me. Any why? Why do you feel the need to test the door to see if it's locked? There is a big difference between leaving something on my doorknob and actually pressing that little button that releases the door latch. Good thing that I'm paranoid about making sure the door is locked when I'm home alone. I wonder what you would do if the door magically opened. Just go away!

Oh, I HATE that. Why, when someone doesn't answer the door, do people try to open the door?? I will never understand it. It's not something I do, but I have had it done here many times. Once the person came in and stood in my entryway. I was LIVID. And she just wanted to share the bible with me. Ugh.

Oh my goodness! She actually came inside!

I've had people stick their head inside saying "hello", but never actually put their entire body across the threshhold. Wait, that's not true. When I moved from Virginia, the insurance agent for the new owners walked inside my house without bothering to knock and started taking pictures during moving day.

Where do people get ideas like that? It's not like there is a sign posted on the door saying "come on in, we're open".

I figured it was something like that. I'll have to go check the scoreboard to see which one of us is ahead in the mean and nasty department. I think we're still tied for evilness because neither one of us has taken over the world yet. *grin*

I am easily ahead. You see you don't think laterally enough. I killed the scorer and put MY people in place for the scoring ;)

I know!! I was shocked that there was some woman standing there inside my house.

I would have told the insurance agent that the house is not vacant yet and to get the hell out. :)

I think it's so freaky that people try the door handle when you don't answer the doorbell. It creeps me out when I hear it. It sends me into a momentary panic, a la "somebody's breaking in and then might rape me". I find that the majority of people do this. I have NEVER done that. I mean, what the heck would I do if it was open? Go inside? I'd call the police if I found somebody standing in my foyer. Hell, I've picked up the phone, poised to dial 911, just for hearing them try the lock before. Yiiiii. *shiver*

And I just watched a "Medium" episode about a guy inside a blind woman's apartment. Now I'm scared. It's kinda fun. Thanks for giving me the creeps. :)
