Oh god it's not ant time yet is it??? I have to say that, second to local politics, the ant thing is the worst thing about living in CA. They're a huge annoyance.

We've had a lot of success with Grant's Kills Ants stakes (you can get them at Ace, Long's, and Safeway), but I don't know if they're suitable for a household with pets, as they're laden with arsenic. Attacking them with Clorox wipes, three or four rounds of killification throughout the day, also helps a lot.

ants are from hell
we had serious infestation in the spring
but haven't seen any in a few weeks now (shh, don't tell 'em)
yeah, I'd come out to the kitchen in the morning and the little fuckers would be all over the counters

I missed the memo about it being ant time.

I have sprayed them down with bleach water. I even bought stuff that you put in there path to eat and then they take it back to the nest. They've been having a great time with that, but I've temporarily increased their numbers because I'm feeding them poison. Next step is to caulk up their entry point.
