My birthday present -



Unopened and promised not to be touched until Ronette comes home from work. It's taunting me. For the record, I chose not to open it this morning. I also have to give Ronette credit because she did not give it to me as soon as she got it, nor tell me she had it. She kept saying "I've got an idea". And this morning when I said I wanted to wait until it was officially my birthday, she said okay. So Ronette has the willpower too.

You have more willpower than I do, I tell you that much. So does Ronette because when I get a present for Joe it's so hard for me to wait to give it to him.

And that's the thing, I have the patience of a saint. Ronette is instant gratification girl. Usually she starts giving gifts weeks before my actual birthday. It's a long standing joke, so I was really surprised when she was OK with me waiting. And because she was OK with it, I really want to open that box right now.

:D I know that instant gratification thing. I have photos for Joe for our anniversary (I mentioned them before *grin*) and it's been all that I can handle to NOT give them to him yet. Almost too much to handle. But, I am waiting.





Did you rattle the box? I could just see you sitting at the table, looking at it but not touching it. ;) I would be.

No, I haven't rattled the box.
I'm being so good.
And I'm avoiding the bedroom where it's sitting on the nightstand because it is very tempting.

I forgot the pictures were for Joe's birthday. You've done very well not to give them yet. Countdown is on though. You instant gratification people are just weird. :)

Oh no, if they were for his birthday, I'd have to wait until April. ;) Our anniversary is 10/7 so that's much closer. Haha!


As I tell Joe, if I keep giving him presents before the special day, he gets more! Haha! I love giving gifts.

Oh, good grief. That's freaky. So I know another Joe whose birthday is 10/8. That's why I was thinking it was your Joe's birthday. Anniversary never figured in my head.

I don't think the other Joe is getting pictures of anybody though. Unless he gets lucky between now and then or buys them himself. Haha.

I think I've heard that same line from Ronette on more than one occasion. As long as I don't get things express mailed weeks in advance, we're OK. The couple of times she has done that I wanted to bop her on the head. "But I wanted to make sure it got here on time" yeah, like 3 weeks in advance.
