I've been making blankets for everyone's babies. It's fun, but sometimes it's a big pain. I'm getting better at this quilting thing. Still not fantastic, but better than I was. Here are pictures of my goods.

Front of one blanket for the twins.

Back of blanket for the twins with blanket #1 tied up on top. I made them with a tie attached so they could be rolled up and schlepped around.

Blanket #3 for my friend from high school.

Bonnie says Hi!

And that's the trouble I've been getting into. Ronette and I have spent a lot of time at home this past weekend. We've been trying to put together our Christmas plans. Still haven't gotten far with that one other than we know we aren't going to Mexico with Carol and just have to confirm that we are/are not going to Ireland. Now I must go get busy and clean up the weekend disaster area. Shane was here this weekend and we have more guests coming this weekend and possibly someone staying a couple of days this week. I suppose clean sheets are in order.

Oh! And most importantly today is Ronette's birthday. I'll have to take a picture of the birthday tree I made for her.

The blankets are very pretty! I always thought that would be fun to learn, except for the fact that I can barely sew a button, lol.

Bonnie looks like she's grown some. She's very cute!

Thanks! My first blanket was two pieces of fabric sewn together.

Man has she grown! She's twice the size she was when we got her. But so pitiful looking in puppy class next to the boxer and all the labs who are 2x as big as she is.

The quilts are yummy! What a wonderful, practical, keepsake of a gift.

An eensy word of caution on the tie you've attached. It could be considered a strangulation hazard should the wee one get to rolling around and tangled themself up in it. Maybe mention that as a precaution to the moms "just in case" !

Already thought that one through, I put a loop on the opposite side that the ties are attached so that the loops are always on the bottom of the blanket.

Clever! I was trying to think of a suggestion to "manage" them when the blanket is in use, but I'm about as creative as a rock when it has anything to do with sewing. They are truly wonderful gifts. It's great that you chose to do something so personal.

Thank you.

Don't I know it. I'm thinking about binding her so she'll stop. I don't know what we're going to do if she can't get under the bed.
