What's happening at 3 a.m.?

fancytalkWell, for one thing I'm not sleeping. RTL is in Washington and I'm here with the dog and the cat and I can't sleep. And I'm cleaning the house at 3 a.m. I'm also watching Something Wild with Melanie Griffith and Jeff Daniels. Why? I'm asking myself. Pure and simple - nostalgia. Good 14 year old memories. And now that I think about it, I think there was some scheming going on way back when. Shannon always did have ulterior motives. But I digress. My commentary about the movie . . .
I remember thinking this was a fun movie. It's frickin' violent and there are some bloody parts. Throw in some bad acting from Melanie, and well you've got a bad movie. First of all, since Melanie stole Antonio's I've been anti-Melanie. Jeff Daniels is always good for a movie that keeps you entertained. Yet, my curiosity got the best of me and I had to go look up Melanie in IMDB because there is a great shot (it's more along the lines of way too much, for way too long, gratuitous breast shot) of Melanie pre-implant The only thing I could think was that it must be one of her first movies. Boy was I wrong - 12 movie credits and 8 TV credits BEFORE Something Wild! Wow! And her mother is Tippi Hedren. If you don't know who Tippi Hedren is, click here Lots of interesting things about her. Met and fell in love with Don Johnson at 14 (he was 22) and they were soon married. Divorced him not too long after and married another guy. Who would have thought! I just remember the Melanie/Antonio drama. Didn't know it was the 2nd time she and Don were married. Oh, this is too much. Now I'm going to store useless information in my brain that I'll never use again. Staying up past midnight is not always a good idea.
