fancytalkI've been watching Bosom Buddies on TV Land recently. Mindless 30 minute feel good humour. The latest show that I watched was about going to their high school reunion and of course they had the good old high school flashbacks. What perked my antenna up was the flashback where Henry is trying to ask a girl to the prom and she tells him that she can't go with him. Kip (who of course is in the background listening to the conversation) makes a comment about how all the girls go for Coach Jones. The girl walks off muttering that the Coach wasn't suppose to tell anyone.
All this time, I've been thinking that it was just my high school. We went through male coaches like they were water. No wonder the football team was so bad. The only one who didn't get fired was the worst of the bunch. Never could figure that one out. Probably because his wife worked at the school too. But for a tv show to make a joke about the girls dating the coaches, it must be more common than I thought.
Maybe I sound prudish, but come on, the coaches are NOT always the most attractive. At least the ones at my high school were not. *shudders in disgust*
