Here's the scoop
Sep. 20th, 2005 10:51 amThanks for all the birthday wishes. It was a lovely day even though I wasn't looking forward to my birthday last week. I actually started opening presents at midnight. ;) I'm so silly.
Big surprise this year is that RTL who usually is about to burst because she's so proud of her present, needed me to go pick out the gift choice this year. A trip to the Apple store. Ha Ha! She bought me software last year. No! I got to pick out my very own iPod! Well, it was harder than that. We've got a 40 GB, so we were trying to decide whether to go with a mini or a nano vs one like we have. I spent much time debating the practicality of paying $50 less for 4 GB or the $50 more for 20 GB. After asking all the right questions and deciding, all the Apple stores within driving distance had zero 4 GB nanos left. Yes, I went for the pretty, although quite practical considering that it will be less conspicuous than the pod when traveling. Although, I had to come home and order my own birthday present myself. Now I've got to figure out where to take it to have a heart engraved on it.
She was very sweet and bought me the Mighty Mouse that I've been wanting. Now I can scroll up, down, left, right, left click and right click. Although I've got to get used to this mouse. I bought her a new set of earphones.
We also went to the Melting Pot for dinner. (I love the Melting Pot) It's just so expensive. Well, that's also perspective, but it is pricier than what we would normally do all the other times we go out to eat.
Kim and Fergal even called and sang Happy Birthday to me. A lovely Sunday and an even lovelier birthday. Now I just get to work on my year 32 resolutions.
