I have to figure out what I did wrong too. I thought I had removed myself from the [livejournal.com profile] jumpfolks community, including removing them off my friends list. Alas, I'm still reading posts from [livejournal.com profile] jumpfolks. If anyone can tell me what I did wrong, I would appreciate it.

Why I feel old is because of the latest post on [livejournal.com profile] jumpfolks. Someone was celebrating their 21st birthday at Cat's Cradle while watching/listening to JLC. They were 11! when I started listening to Jump. Actually, they hadn't even turned 11 yet. I feel old.

On another note, since this will probably (hopefully) be my last post today, I finally updated my user info. Yay me! Although, I'll probably have to go back and make it pretty, for now it's functional.

Woe is me

I couldn't take it after the Cats Cradle posting. I had to leave the [livejournal.com profile] jumpfolks community because it was depressing me.

I think I could cry.
Jump is "winding down" to quote the latest news worthy information on their website.
Settling down to no more spring and fall tours. This fall will be the "out with a bang unless we decide to tour again" tour. Not final, but not a promise of more to come either.

Then again, I think I knew this was coming. The last couple of albums have had less exhilaration than Magazine, Vertigo, or the early years. I think I was waiting for the fall out from artistic differences. However, Matt's note sounds more like they aren't having as much fun anymore, so stopping before they start hating their job is necessary.

With that said, it doesn't make it any better. I'm still sad.

If you want to read Matt's note, you can here.
