Quirky Berkeley
Mar. 23rd, 2006 05:19 pmI've been outside today weeding. As usual there is a ton of walking traffic down my street. Here are just a few of the conversations that I've caught snippets of today:
Two women pushing baby strollers - "The three of them just packed everything up and moved to Mexico. Mexico of all places! I don't know how anyone could ever live in Mexico."
Two high school boys - "I don't know what my moms was all about this morning. I mean, I took a shower and a shit . . ."
Two men - "Lately I've been thinking a lot about self-enlightenment"
I could condense the hour long phone call my neighbor had into about 5 sentences, but then you wouldn't get the effect of my listening to her say like, ya know, and OMG! repeatedly.

As for my extended breaks from LJ, I haven't felt like talking about myself. That's the best way I can put it. There are a couple of people on my f-list that are dealing with heavy stuff and have laid it all out. It kind of freaked me out. Not the situations, but the fact that they were comfortable enough to write some of the stuff they've written. So everytime I've tried to post something I'm leaning towards superficial surface stuff because I don't feel like sharing.

Date: 2006-03-25 01:45 am (UTC)That was pretty cool!
I thank you for the hugs, they are always much appreciated.
And nothing is ever insignificant if it matters to you.
I'll see if I can come up with something good and juicy to post.

Date: 2006-03-24 05:13 pm (UTC)I can remember having a very brief fling with a lady of 41 when I was 19. Just a one night sort of thing - but the sex was incredible. Think she was in her sexual prime and if we are to belive the good people of sexual research I was just coming to the end of mine. Very pleasant evening though - so there could be some truth in the 'sexual prime' age paramaters.

No, I wouldn't wish her on you. She'll probably be gone by May when the school term ends anyway. Hopefully she won't do study abroad in your part of the world. Japan, maybe she'll go to Japan.
I can understand you having a fling with an older woman. That makes sense to me. The woman isn't worried about getting pregnant and let's face it, men start to lose the get up and go as they get older. That 18, 19, 20 year range would be great sex. Although now that I've said that, I think I can come up with a couple of reasons why older men want younger women.
