Where to go?

Since Ireland has now been moved to another time, where should we go in May/June?
Suggestions?
I suppose cost isn't really a factor. Well, it is sort of but not really.
I'm looking at Alaskan cruises or laying on a beach in Hawaii. The two things that we've decided we will do while we are on the west coast.
It will be high season in Europe, but who cares. Maybe something more exotic.

I vote for the Alaskan cruise (not that 'm against Hawaii). I'm trying to convince drmellow's family (parents & brother) that we need to go on a family vacation so that the "boys" can visit their birthplace (Anchorage; they've never been).

We wanted to go for our honeymoon, but November isn't really the best time to go to Alaska (the cruises don't even run then). I want to do a cruise for past of the trip, then spend some time traveling around once we get up there. If ya'll go, you can do the hard part planning for me! ;)

Alaska is what tops my list. I decided a couple of months ago to send off for the Alaskan tourism package. Of course now I'm getting all the cruise lines that want me to take their cruise. But it's interesting. I even found one that leaves and returns to SF. So I'll be happy to do the hard part for you.

Hey! That sounds great. Actually, I need to send for the tourism package, too. That was on my to-do list after we got through the busyness that surrounded Christmas. Have I done yet? No. (Have I mailed you your grits? You get the picture.) Could you even understand my comment? Now that I look back, it was fraught with typos...

I really would be interested to know what you guys decide. What looks good, what looks like it would might be a good idea but not worth the money or hassle, etc. I think we might actually make a go of it in spring/summer 2007.
