More Neighborhood Drama
Apr. 23rd, 2006 09:09 pmThis evening the entertainment was someone going down the street smashing back windows out of cars. Lovely. I heard a pop and went to the window to investigate. Call me nosy, I don't care, the noise wasn't normal. I see that the car parked where I normally would park has the entire back window smashed out. Fuck! was the first thing I thought and went to check my car. No damage on my car, but I moved it into the driveway anyway. I was stopped by a couple walking around the neighborhood who tell me that they saw the car that did it but didn't think to get the license. Then the guy says that a bunch of cars all the way up the street have back windows smashed. They left, I went inside and called the police. Not that they can do anything about it now, but I called.
Edit: The assumption is that it was a group of misguided teens hurling bricks (half of a brick to economize) through the back windows of just about every car on the street, both sides. I waited to see if the cop would come to the door, he didn't, but I went outside when I realized that it was my neighbours car. Nothing taken, just the senseless act of destruction.
