A girl and her shoes.
Jun. 7th, 2006 04:37 pmLooking for a fairly inexpensive, comfortable shoe to tool around town in this summer? May I suggest these from Land's End.
I've been staring at these in their multitude of colors for a couple of months now and decided to buy a pair for the Alaska trip. I packed my trusty New Balance ones in case these babies didn't work out, but lo and behold I think I'm in love. They are lightweight and airy. I can slip them on and because they don't have shoelaces, don't come untied. I can wear them with socks or without. And look ma! no blisters! They are wide enough to allow my toes to spread but narrow enough that they don't slip on my heels. The bottomline is that they are almost as comfortable as being barefoot. My fat little feet love them. Now I'm going to buy more colors to match all of my outfits.

Date: 2006-06-07 11:59 pm (UTC)My arches are so high that the most comfortable shoes I own are 2-3 inch heels, which are hardly always practical. Lately, I've gone through a number of everyday, Aerosole-type flats, which, without much arch support, cause my feet to slide down, jamming my toes into the toebox. Gah. All weekend, I was lamenting that I just needed a pair of knock-around shoes I could slip my feet into without having to lace up, like my New Balances.
If these work out, I'll owe you big-time.
